Returns & Exchange Policy
At Hardware Sales, we strive to ensure that our customers are satisfied with their purchases. If for any reason you’re not completely satisfied, our return policy is designed to make the process as easy as possible. Please review our policy below for specific guidelines.
Standard Return Policy
We offer a 60-day return period for items returned with the original receipt. This gives you plenty of time to ensure the product meets your expectations. For returns without a receipt, we provide a 30-day window to return items, provided they are in resalable condition and still in original packaging.
Conditions for Return
To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:
- Original Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging and be in resalable condition. If the product is damaged or shows signs of excessive use, we may not be able to process the return.
- Receipt: Returns with the original receipt will be processed for a full refund or exchange. If you don’t have your receipt, we can still assist you with returns within 30 days, but please note that the return will be issued as store credit for the lowest selling price of the item in the past 30 days.
Restocking Fee for Large Returns
For larger items such as equipment, machinery, or appliances, we charge a 20% restocking fee on the item price (before tax). This is to cover the costs associated with inspecting, repackaging, and restocking larger products. Please note that this fee is applicable if the item is returned in a non-defective condition and within the return window.
Will Call / Return Center
Our Will Call department will soon be transitioning to the “Return Center”, dedicated to handling returns, exchanges, and refunds more efficiently. This will make the return process even smoother, and our team will be ready to assist with all your inquiries.
Credit Card Returns
If you paid for your purchase with a credit card but no longer have the card used for the transaction, we can still assist you with your return. However, refunds for credit card purchases will be processed back to the same card used for the original transaction. If the card is unavailable, a store credit may be issued instead. Please ensure you have proof of the purchase to facilitate the return process.
Gift Card Returns
Unfortunately, gift cards are non-returnable. Once a gift card is purchased, it cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, except where required by law. However, you can use the gift card for future purchases.
Special Orders
Special orders are items that we do not carry in stock but are specially ordered for you. These returns are only accepted within 30 days from the purchase date, and the product must be returned with the receipt. Additionally, manager approval is required for all special order returns. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss any issues with your special order, and we will assist you accordingly.
Exchanges
In the event that you’d like to exchange an item instead of returning it, our team can assist you in finding the right product to meet your needs. If the exchanged item costs more, you’ll need to pay the difference. If it costs less, we’ll issue you a credit for the difference.

To initiate a return or exchange, simply bring your item, receipt (or proof of purchase), and the original packaging to our Return Center or contact us for guidance.
